About the role:
Reporting into the Head of New Product Development & Systems Engineering, in this Horotiu based role you will leading the product development and product management of our Platform Systems portfolio.

You will generate detailed engineering drawings to further enhance the design to manufacture process for our platform products (rotary and herringbone milking parlours). There will also be specific project work and installation support documentation this role will assist the team and business with.

Key responsibilities include:
· Accountable for the WMS Platform portfolio of products and is the Technical Subject Matter Expert on WMS platform and related systems (including; Rotary & In-line platform systems, and components)
· Provide technical support for the sales team, our dealer/installer network, and customer enquiries on new or existing WMS systems in global markets
· Assist with marketing material to ensure the product features and benefits are communicated to market effectively
· Analyse/interpret project proposals and specifications along with other applicable data and generation of concepts for review
· Produce detailed engineering drawings and facilitate the transition from design to the manufacturing environment, providing technical advice
· Complete ‘manufacture ready’ drawings and bills of material (BOMs) in accordance with applicable standards
· Support build and test prototypes to define performance specifications
· Produce detailed and accurate installation documentation and drawings
· Ensure materials, components, production processes, quality control and costs applicable to the design, maximise effective manufacture and efficiency requirements
· Co-ordinate design phase of assigned projects and facilitate design review
· Being a great communicator and problem solver who works with others to understand the priorities of all stakeholders to ensure quality, high performance products are produced that meet or exceed our quality standards
· Drives own personal and professional development

To be successful you will:
· Have a relevant mechanical engineering qualification and a minimum of 5 years structural and/or mechanical design and project management experience
· Have a good level of CAD experience/knowledge
· Have a good understanding of mechanical concepts and fault finding
· Have a good understanding of manufacturing capabilities in a production environment
· Be able to read, interpret and create plans and specifications
· Have the ability to maintain and develop excellent relationships
· Have a commitment to quality
· Be highly motivated to achieve your goals
· Be comfortable with process administration
· Problem solving – undertaking root cause analysis
· Be a self-starter, with good initiative
· Understand manufacturing capabilities in a production environment
· Be well organised and able to deliver on key milestones
