Waikato Milking Systems is one of the world’s leading designers and manufacturers of dairy systems and technology. Our focus is on high performing milking solutions and dairy technology including rotary milking systems, herringbone and parallel systems, dairy automation, milk yield recording, cow identification, animal heat and health systems, sorting and animal management, dairy management systems and milk cooling.
Waikato Milking Systems global headquarters and engineering divisions are located in Hamilton, NZ with offices and Warehouses in Australia, USA, UK, Ireland, and China, with agents and customers in every dairying nation in the world.
We are looking to appoint a Head of Supply Chain. This role is an integral member of the Leadership Team reporting into the General Manager – Global Operations and Shared Services.
We seek a subject matter expert to ‘head up’ this vital function. You will have a high degree of independence to further shape systems and processes as well as working with all internal and external stakeholders of the company to build strong relationships and ensure business needs are understood and solutions are delivered.
As an experienced, motivated, and innovative leader with best practice knowledge you will enjoy the challenge of implementing change as we embark on the installation of our new ERP system, bringing your already ‘committed’ team on the change journey to greater success and efficiency.
Implementation of best practice supply chain management, supplier performance and maximizing Inventory turnover will be critical in this role; together with demonstrated experience of success in a similar role in the manufacturing sector.
You will be confident and adaptable and have strong communication and interpersonal skills which translate into a positive and committed leader who exercises sound judgement, negotiates, delegates, and informs successfully. Your leadership experience of a multi-disciplinary team and the ability to execute the agreed strategy will also be vital.
