We have a position available for a motivated individual to join our close-knit team as a Production Fabricator/Welder in the Rotary Division, based at our Horotiu site.
You do not need to be trade certified but ideally have had some experience in MIG (and ideally Tig welding) to a high, quality standard. Also, you should have a sound understanding of health and safety in the workplace, continuous improvement and well as enjoyment of the engineering workshop environment. There will also be opportunities to undertake general workshop duties as part of this role to develop and grow.
To be effective in this role you will need:
- Ideally a minimum of two years demonstrated MIG welding experience (TIG is a bonus)
- Practical operational engineering experience; with a keen eye for detail
- Knowledge of metals and their properties
- Be physically fit
- Be customer focused
- Be comfortable and proficient with hand tools and handling metals
- Be committed to quality and continuous improvement
- Be a good communicator and want to be part of and contribute to a great team environment
- Be honest & hardworking
- Drivers Licence and own transport
