Josh Neahring brings a lifetime of hands-on dairy farming experience and specialized technical knowledge to the Waikato Milking Systems team.
Growing up on a 400-head family dairy farm on the Oregon Coast in the USA, Josh has a deep-rooted understanding of the agricultural industry. Having been a part-owner of a grass-based seasonal dairy until it was sold in 2021, Josh brings a lifetime of first-hand experience to his role at Waikato Milking Systems.
After the sale of his family farm, Josh transitioned into the service side of the industry. Furthermore, he’s attended the National Milk Producer Federation annual conferences to deepen his industry knowledge.
Beyond his professional life, Josh is deeply committed to contributing to his community. For 16 years, he served his community as a volunteer firefighter and EMT, and has remained active through his church. This commitment to helping others defines his approach to his work at Waikato Milking Systems
Josh joined the team on January 5, 2026. His core philosophy is centred around building relationships and trust. He understands how difficult farming can be and is driven by the desire to help farmers solve problems and improve their systems. By doing so, he strives to enhance the quality of life for both the farmers and their animals.
In his role, Josh is focused on growing his customer base while strengthening the service and relationships shared with dealers. He looks forward to continuing his growth within Waikato Milking Systems and further developing his relationships with the farmers he serves.
