Field Techncian

When not in the field; this role is based at our Headquarters at Horotiu.

You will develop into our technical subject matter expert for our new technology, ErgoPOD which is coming to market in 2025. As part of the wider technical team; you will be responsible for technical support to our dealers and customers on and off the farm. This role is about building trust and long-term relationships with our dealers, customers, and sales teams. You will ensure installations meet our standards, and support our dealers, particularly on high end automation projects. This includes undertaking technical visits and providing dealer training.

Your ability to troubleshoot and problem solve ‘in situ’ is key to ensure we meet and exceed our customers and dealers’ expectations. You will never be short of a challenge in this exciting role.

Communication is ‘vital’ as you interact face to face on-site, via phone, apps, and e mail within the market and with our dealers, customers, and sales team members across NZ. Our mission is to provide the ‘complete’ end to end milking solution for our customers.

There will be the requirement to support our dealers and customers overseas on an on-call roster as part of the global team via virtual contact and our online customer support system.

Qualifications

To be successful you will:

  • Have minimum 3 years background/relevant experience in a technical role in the agriculture and/or Agri-tech sector
  • Be well organised and a results orientated person who is confident and comfortable working independently
  • Be technically minded and able to demonstrate excellent workmanship and problem-solving skills ’on the job’
  • Be an excellent communicator via all mediums
  • Good interpersonal skills and work well in a team environment
  • Build effective and enduring relationships internally and with our customers and dealers externally
  • Be logical, practical and have knowledge of the agricultural sector including dairy parlours and associated systems and processes (electrical/electronic knowledge)
  • Be physically fit and enjoys the ‘on farm’ environment 
  • Have a clean, current, full drivers’ licence
  • Undertake travel including some weekend work and travel within NZ, opportunities to travel overseas (as required) to undertake training and meet our customer’s needs
