Job Description

As the Inwards Goods Lead, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our Inwards Goods department, ensuring smooth and efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of goods. You’ll manage a small, dedicated team, provide leadership, and ensure health & safety compliance, while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, manage, and motivate the Inwards Goods team to achieve daily targets and operational excellence.
• Ensure that all goods are received, checked, stored, and processed according to company procedures.
• Maintain a high standard of health and safety practices within the department.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
• Manage stock levels, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct training and development for team members.
• Monitor performance and provide regular feedback and coaching

Qualifications

Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience in a warehouse or distribution environment, ideally within inwards goods or stock control.
• Some demonstrated experience in supervisory experience in a fast-paced, hands-on role.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to solve problems quickly and effectively.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards and compliance.
